Thank you for visiting my website!
I hope you find my designs to be the new accessory to wear and show for your next event!
As I started this new business, the feedback that I received from all of the best people in my life is, and I quote, "It's so different", "what a fabulous idea", "such a great way to replace the corsage", "it's definitely an attention grabber".
Well, I have to agree with it all! I first came up with this idea to create a collection for the middle market consumers to wear for their events, whatever the event calls for. My target markets are celebratory events for religious sacraments, weddings, mother of the bride, bridal party, baby showers, kid's recitals, proms, graduations, gender reveal parties, holiday hostess, and more! However one chooses to celebrate, the FloWrist is an accessory to wear to be the center of attention.
So where did this idea originate? Well, I got married on July 8th, 2016 in the beautiful island of Aruba! We had 150 guests that traveled from New York and New Jersey. It was such a memorable event! As I was researching for flowers for my event, my wedding event planner informed me that due to the hot dry weather, the flowers will not survive long without water. So I kept it simple for the bridal party by choosing tulips with long stems to hold. It was pretty but of course not my first choice, since I really wanted orchids. Well, I chose to have a fresh bouquet of orchids as the Bride and decided to have a backup, or shall I say what turned out to be the most amazing accessory I wore for my wedding "a flowing wrist silk orchid bouquet". My neighbor, who owns a florist, helped me create the wrist bouquet after giving her the idea. Well, sure enough, the fresh orchid bouquet which cost me $350 was nearly a waste of money, because as warned, they did not last long and not to mention it was so heavy to hold! It was my wedding day and I thought I needed to have a picture with a bouquet of flowers. I certainly regret ever thinking that was a necessity! The wrist bouquet of silk flowers was a hit! And it looked gorgeous with my dress! People actually thought it was a part of my dress (lol). I ended up wearing it for the reception, where I danced with my partner in crime and for the father-daughter dance. It was light, convenient to carry around my wrist and looked gorgeous in pictures. I walked around with it, held a drink, enjoyed my guests, all while being the center of attention in my bridal gown wearing beautiful silk orchids!
Soon after the wedding, we went to Hawaii for the honeymoon! I loved wearing the lei and absolutely loved the plumeria and orchid flowers! I learned that the lei is given to someone for reasons of love, honor and friendship for another person. The many common events the lei is worn is for graduations, weddings, and school dances. Well, shortly after learning so much about the lei, I was hooked! One morning, I woke up with an epiphany of designing the flowing wrist bouquet and naming this idea a "FloWrist". I want this to be an addition that one can wear for their major event, the way the lei is worn for events in Hawaii. Instead of wearing it in the form of a necklace, it would be worn on a flowing crystal chain hooked onto a fashionable bracelet. The concept is to wear with the flowers for your event, then detach the flowers and use the bracelet as your accessory after the event. It's an accessory you will love and wear over and over again!
